Infinix Hot 50 Pro+ 4G full review

The Infinix Hot 50 Pro+ 4G is a stylish smartphone with a very thin 6.8mm profile and a very light 162-gram body. It has a glossy or matte glass finish and is available in Dreamy Purple, Titanium Grey, or Sleek Black. We also have the newly released Blossom Pink model with a vegan leather finish for review today.
Infinix Hot 50 Pro+ Specs
- Display: 6.78 inches, AMOLED
- Camera: 50MP + 2MP
- Operating system: Android 14
- Storage: 128GB / 256GB
- Battery: Li-Po 5000 mAh
The MediaTek Helio G100 chipset, on the other hand, is a relatively recent but low-end 4G chipset that is still not very popular.

In addition, the Hot 50 Pro+’s camera is really subpar. Although the phone only claims a 50MP primary camera, a 2MP depth sensor, and a 13MP selfie, it appears to have three cameras on the back. Either the third back “camera” is a complete fake or some sort of specialized mystery sensor. In any case, don’t count on the cameras to deliver.
Opening the box

The Hot 50 Pro+ comes packaged in a vibrant, two-part cardboard packaging. The material is quite durable and hardy. To hold the phone in place, there is a plastic cradle within. Positively, the accessory bundle is quite extensive. A USB Type-A to Type-C cable and a 33W charger are included in the package. A curved glass screen protector and a clear snap-on cover made of hard plastic are also included with Infinix.
Body & Design
Without a doubt, the Infinix Hot 50 Pro+ 4G’s design is its best feature. It’s a fashionable phone. With an aggressively curved edge and a thickness of only 6.8 mm, it is sleek and extremely thin all around. It’s incredibly comfortable to hold. Additionally, the Hot 50 Pro+ weighs a featherweight 162 grams. That’s impressive considering the large 6.78-inch screen and the large 5,000 mAh battery.
The most intriguing aspect of the design, like with any contemporary phone, is undoubtedly the rear. The camera island is particularly noticeable. Seldom do you encounter two-stage chamfering with serration. Despite being entirely composed of plastic, it yet has a metal appearance.
The Hot 50 Pro+ 4G’s rear panel is available in a variety of colors and finishes. It appears that there are matte and glossy versions of the Sleek Black, Titanium Grey, and Dreamy Purple. Listings for such variations are difficult to obtain, though. Blossom Pink, our review unit, is a later release that is composed of imitation “vegan” leather. We really enjoy the content. It is delicately textured and features three distinct pink hues that blend together in a geometric design.
At least when viewed from a distance, the central frame effectively conveys the appearance of brushed aluminum.

When it comes to controls, nothing is particularly noteworthy. Both the volume button and the power button are positioned appropriately with relation to height. Although they provide excellent tactile feedback, pushing them might be challenging due to their thinness.
The Hot 50 Pro+ boasts a stereo speaker arrangement with two dedicated speakers, which may come as a surprise considering its low price. One on the phone’s top and one on the bottom. Just the way we want it, symmetrical.
Once more, the Hot 50 Pro+ 4G boasts reasonable-sized display bezels despite being a rather low-cost device. Really, nothing is visible above the screen. Every sensor and the earpiece are concealed.
Infinix Hot 50 Pro+ camera test
The camera user interface is tidy and orderly. There are a few intriguing choices scattered throughout, such as an extra-wide selfie mode and some “film mode” video filters and effects. But there isn’t a pro mode. We weren’t expecting one in this price range, though.
The photographs taken by the Infinix Hot 5 Pro+ 4G’s primary camera are mainly uninspiring yet passably good. The frame has adequate detail, and the colors are pleasing to the eye.
But everything is processed pretty aggressively. Additionally, there is a limited dynamic range, with both crushed shadows and clipped highlights.
Photos taken at 2x zoom are more fuzzier and softer than those taken at 1x. For portraiture, the Hot 50 Pro+ 4G performs admirably. Don’t get us wrong, the dynamic range and contrast problems are still present in these photos, but humans appear to have some skin texture and fairly true skin tones. Both subject separation and background blur are of high quality.
Selfie camera
Once more, there is nothing to be concerned about, although the 13MP selfie camera is respectable. It’s in the details. We love the texture of the skin. Natural-looking skin tones are also appealing. Nevertheless, contrast and dynamic range are not very good.
The phone’s night mode is set on automatically and works perfectly. In addition, there is a manual Super Night Mode. Capturing and processing an image takes a good few seconds, but overall, the results do appear better, but primarily because of the extra artificial sharpness.
Video capture quality
Its primary and selfie cameras can capture videos at high to 1440p@ 30 frames per second on the Infinix Hot 50 Pro+ 4G. The fact that we were unable to use an app like Open Camera to unlock greater resolutions suggests that this is a chipset constraint. In an MP4 container, a 48 kHz stereo AAC audio stream and an AVC/h.264 video stream at about 50 Mbps are recorded. It doesn’t appear like HEVC/h.265 is an option.
