Samsung to Rent Devices via AI Subscription Club Next Month

Last month, Samsung launched the AI Subscription Club service in South Korea, enabling users to rent or subscribe to its household appliances without really purchasing them. Samsung’s tablets and smartphones will soon have the same service.

For Samsung’s Galaxy smartphones and tablets with AI capabilities, the AI Subscription Club service will launch next month. Although Samsung has not disclosed its subscription plans for its Galaxy handsets, the service might be useful for people who wish to test out Samsung products for a while before paying full price.

Additionally, Samsung revealed that South Korea and the US will host the first introductions of Ballie, its companion robot that was initially shown five years ago. “Starting next month, we will implement the subscription service for Galaxy smartphones. At a press conference at CES 2025, Samsung Electronics Vice Chairman Han Jong-hee stated, “We intend to supply Ballie as a subscription in Korea, and it will be introduced first in Korea and the US.”

It is expected to improve the sales performance of mobile devices at the Samsung Store, especially since customers who have felt the burden of buying self-funded phones have a tendency to buy them using card installments on online malls.
