Announcing the Vivo Y29, which has a 120Hz screen and 5,500 mAh battery

Vivo launched the Y28 in January using the Dimensity 6020 SoC. The Dimensity 6300 CPU powers the company’s successor, which was presented today. As standard, the Vivo Y29 comes with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage that can be upgraded to 1TB. It is powered by Funtouch OS 14, which is based on Android 14.
The vivo Y29 is built on a 6.68″ 120Hz HD+ LCD with a pixel density of 264 ppi and a maximum brightness of 1,000 nits. Additionally, the screen features a central punch-hole for the 8MP selfie camera.
You get a 50MP primary camera on the back, along with a 0.08MP unit and flash. Additionally, there’s a ring light that changes color when music is playing or as a reminder.
The Vivo Y29 is powered by a 5,500 mAh battery that can be charged at 44W. The phone also boasts twin speakers, 5G connection, an IP64 rating, MIL-STD-810H certification, and a fingerprint scanner on the side.
The Vivo Y29 is currently available for purchase in India via Vivo’s Indian website and is available in Glacier Blue, Titanium Gold, and Diamond Black. With prices of INR13,999 ($165/€160), INR15,499 ($180/€175), INR16,999 ($200/€190), and INR18,999 ($225/€215), accordingly, it comes with four memory options: 4GB/128GB, 6GB/128GB, 8GB/128GB, and 8GB/256GB.
