Apple Intelligence Arrives in the EU in April with More Language Support

The next stage of Apple’s AI feature rollout under the Apple Intelligence umbrella was formally revealed today. The business is expected to release iOS 18.4 and iPadOS 18.4 in April. These versions will be the first to make Apple Intelligence features available to the EU.

Although it has taken a while, there isn’t much more waiting to be done. French, German, Italian, Portuguese (Brazil), Spanish, Japanese, Korean, Chinese (simplified), and specialized English for Singapore and India are among the other languages in which Apple Intelligence will be accessible.

According to Apple, the new languages would be available “in nearly all regions around the world”. “Helping users communicate, collaborate, and express themselves in entirely new ways” is another feature that Apple Intelligence will be bringing to the Apple Vision Pro, initially in US English only.

The Apple Intelligence feature set will continue to grow “in the coming months,” according to Apple, “including more capabilities for Siri.” This appears to be an acknowledgement that, contrary to what was predicted a few days ago, the AI-powered Siri will not be available in April with iOS 18.4 and iPadOS 18.4.

Apple Intelligence, which is built to safeguard users’ privacy at every stage, represents a remarkable advancement in AI privacy. On-device processing is where it all begins, as many of the models that drive Apple Intelligence operate only on the device. Private Cloud Compute expands the security and privacy of the iPhone into the cloud to unleash even more intelligence for requests that need access to larger models.
In the upcoming months, Apple Intelligence will keep adding new features, such as enhanced Siri capabilities.
