iOS 19 Leak Shows Camera Redesign and System Changes

This recent YouTube video from fpt revealed a hot new leak that shows major changes to the iOS 19 Camera app and possibly another major update for the operating system. Together with integrating some of the features that are now accessible outside the app, such as resolution and frame rate control during video recording, the Camera app will become much cleaner with less distractions surrounding the viewfinder. Android has had that from the start, and iOS 19 will be the year that it happens.
FPT does not want to reveal its sources within Apple, hence the video does not depict the actual makeover. Rather, the video displays a close-up of the upcoming Camera app. The viewfinder is the focal point of everything, with few outside distractions. Swiping is required to access all of the settings and camera modes because they are more compact and the animations are smoother.
iOS 19 Camera app features
According to rumor, he witnessed the new Camera app from iOS 19 in use. He is unable to distribute that film, though, in order to protect his source. In order to give us a sense of what to anticipate from the revamp, he instead reconstructed it from the ground up.
It somewhat resembles several Android camera programs, particularly the feature that allows you to adjust the resolution and frame rate from within the app rather than via the Settings menu.
However, the leak implies that it’s not merely a revamp. The camera app’s overall appearance and UI interaction are reminiscent to visionOS, indicating that iOS 19 will bring a comprehensive system-wide revamp.
GSMArena Opinion
The fact that the camera viewfinder now occupies a larger portion of the visual interface is one aspect of this makeover that I truly appreciate. The Camera app is currently overflowing with settings and controls that can interfere with the actual operation of shooting a photo or recording. Although it goes without saying that you need easy access to those options, the new iOS 19 design seems to indicate that Apple has created a layout that maintains the most frequently used settings close at hand while also clearing out some of the clutter.
However, if we start with minor redesigns of key essential iOS apps, we may see a slow transition toward visionOS aesthetics that eventually spreads throughout the system.
Since iOS 19 won’t be available to the average user for at least nine months, it’s a little too soon to be sure, so we can only make educated guesses.
